Why did you choose your DJ name ?

Chuga was my nickname at school, it's what everyone always calls me. I added the 'King' in ode to one of my favourite Dub producers King Tubby.

DJ Biography / overview / Bit about yourself and how you got into Djing and where you have played:

Sheffield, UK based Jungle/Drum & Bass DJ/Producer. Been DJing since 1995, played and have had residences at clubs all over the country. Started producing my own music in 2012, I've had music released on King Bass Recordings, Foot Long Recordings and Energy1058 Recordings.

What or who are your influences to play what you play?

In terms of DJing, Tony De Vit, Doc Scott, Andy C and Randall were a huge influence on me.

In terms of producing, Boymerang, Dillinja, Crystl and Total Science have always influenced me

What other intrests or hobbies do you have apart from Energy1058?

I'm a big Football and Cricket fan, support Tottenham. Also enjoy gaming with my 2 boys.
